FATHER IMPREGNATES DAUGHTER IN EKET.

A 57 years old man has been arrested for impregnating his 17 years old daughter in Eket, Akwa ibom state.

According to the victim, who confirmed that her father started defiling her since last year after the death of her mother. 

She also added that the last time she saw her period was April 2021, which means she is pregnant now and almost due for delivery with no anti-natal care administered.

The Accused, Mr Okon Isong, who later threw her out of the house, leaving her with no option than to go over to Uyo to look for someone who may be interested in the child she is carrying. 

The victim was spotted in Uyo by a good Samaritan, who handed her over to the President of Notovole Foundation,  Mrs Patricia Obot, who is a member of the Gender Based Violence Committee, recently sworn in by the Governor of Akwa Ibom State. 

According to Mrs Patricia Obot, she said that Immediate actions has been taken to ensure that Judgement is severed and by so doing, the case is currently been handled by the Police in Ikot Akpan Abia headquaters, Uyo, Akwa ibom state.

She added that she has also booked a medical appointment at the State General Hospital for the victim. She also promised that the victim, would be given all the necessary help and suport she needs to help her get through this rough times
